Agile Product Manager (Manager, Enterprise Data) Job Summary:

The APM - Manager, Enterprise Data provides leadership in aligning information systems development with business objectives for assigned business applications and/or technologies.  The incumbent provides overall direction and guidance to engineering managers/leads, engineers/developers and contract labor teams.  She/he drives software development across multiple teams and phases to ensure execution of project work plans. Determines department priorities and ensures software development objectives are met.

Agile Product Manager (Manager, Enterprise Data) Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of data strategy including enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, meta-data management, enterprise data integration
  • Responsible for development, deployment, maintenance, enhancement, business socialization of data management, architecture, all aspects of enterprise data repositories, enterprise data integration strategy. This includes data for business intelligence, data warehousing, meta-data repositories, operational data stores.
  • Work with management to develops and continuously refines data management vision and roadmap (both functional and technical) for data warehousing and BI solutions, aligning to business objectives.
  • Possesses, develops, and applies knowledge of trends, value and use of data warehousing/BI applications, and closely follows the evolution of business models and organizational priorities.
  • Ensures data assets are effectively managed across the enterprise.
  • Manage & build a team of data analysts, data modelers and developers.
  • Build a high performing team, foster open communication, transparency, highest level of integrity, trust & collaboration within & across the departments.
  • Ensure that programs, initiatives & projects are delivered on-time.
  • Establish trust and collaborative relationships within the cross-functional technical and product teams that enhance strategic initiatives across all aspects of our business
  • Become familiar with product vision, business strategy and understand the rhythm of the business, organization and performance measures
  • Drive strategic planning, goal setting and project coordination for enterprise technical operation and support initiatives, including prioritizing enterprise projects on 1-3 year roadmaps

Agile Product Manager (Manager, Enterprise Data) Job Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple business priorities while still holding quality paramount
  • 12+ years of industry experience in designing and implementing data environments
  • 5+ years leadership experience in managing complex data environments.
  • 3+ years of working experience with ETL tools (Informatica preferred)
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
  • Ability to adjust gracefully to changing situations, keeping team aligned and focused
  • Has high standards and expects innovation from the team
  • Experience with system design, architecture and open-source technologies
  • Experience delivering large, cross-functional, projects
  • Must have the ability to analyze a situation for potential future problems
  • 3+ years of Insurance domain  knowledge is a big plus
  • Background in modern data architecture, No SQL and hadoop stack is plus.
