  • Participates in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications. 
  • Assists stakeholders in identifying security solutions for the company's networks, application systems, authentication and directory services to ensure the security of the network and confidential data. Participates in the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging security technologies and systems. 
  • May provide technical guidance to less experienced staff.: 
  • 5+ years of experience in security applications and systems.

  • GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in the stand-up of Enterprise Access Management (EAM) Operational Readiness Data Analysis and Metrics Improvement line of effort. 
  • Research and drive new and innovative uses of existing Splunk and other data mining and analysis capabilities and infrastructure while working side by side with EAM Operations organization divisions to solve their unique problems across a variety of use cases within the EAM and Identity and Access Management (IAM) space.  
  • Collaborate across other Splunk-enabled organizations to bring access to EAM Operations teams to get the right solution delivered and drive future innovation gathered from EAM organization input. • Leverage previous experiences, share best practices, and create innovative solutions to push user adoption and maximize the value of Splunk and other data mining and analysis tools. 
  • Assist in the facilitation and creation of processes (automatic and/or manual) to produce and maintain real-time or near real-time reports and dashboards conveying efficiency and effectiveness of daily EAM Operations and supporting architecture. 

  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis, log analysis, logging solutions, system/network monitoring. 
  • Ability to assess the EAM Operations organizations situation, business needs, complex problems, and provide a solution forward.
  •  Experience with Unix, Linux or Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line interface. 
  • Ability to stop, collaborate and listen with technical and non-technical consumers from IT administrators to executive level stakeholders. 
  • Self-motivated and self-educating, able to function independently as needed. Also, need to be able to collaborate with fellow Splunk engineers as well as business units and EAM team members.  Ability function independently and in a team is a MUST. 
  • Well organized with a healthy sense of urgency, able to set; communicate; and meet aggressive deadlines with competing priorities. 
  • Previous experience working in a global organization is highly desirable.  
  • Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or a related field is a plus
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and define their needs and translate those needs into Splunk queries, reports, and dashboards. 
  • Working knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (i.e., Bash, Perl, or Python) or application development (JAVA, Python, .NET) 
  • Relational databases (queries, reports, views) 
  • Analytical tools. 
  • SIEM tools.  
  • Demonstrable understanding of common enterprise applications, especially in the area of information security. 
  • Systems engineering experience. 
  • Data mining experience. Data analysis experience.  Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
